So blacktop is pretty cool. So there is a free version that is just a reader that syncs with the outlook soles stored on the comp. So your cached email, calendar and contacts all go in there. Then ther eis the version you pay for which includes a blackberry/type radio and software upgrade. the radio works independantly of the cellular radio and is bi-directional, so you can pull email and send. It will also have a firefox browser. I think of this like the business version of the mediaconnect buttons on the xps and inspirons.

Does the pencil eraser work well. I don't know the technical name for it. The thing in the center of the keyboard that you can use instead of the touch pad.

We probably won't know pricing until the 12th. Anything before then is just speculation.

it is called a pointing stick. and it is most likely (speculating here) exactly the same as it has been since the Dx00 series, which is to say works perfectly.

Thanks a lot for the pictures fattire.

I'm a bit disappointed by the basic look. Not very exciting in my opinion.

Thanks a lot for the pics, fattire. In the close-up picture of the keyboard, it seems as if there is a third mouse button like the one found on thinkpads (for scrolling). Can you elaborate on that, please. That would be a nice update to the d-series keyboard. I mean the button on top of the touchpad. Besides that, how warm does the e4300 get, is it loud, how`s the keyboard for writing?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards, Al.
