Maxwell also has HEVC encoding, but I believe Pascal is necessary if you are doing 10-bit color. My understanding is that GPU video encoding may be rather fast but it is limited in flexibility, but for the best quality you will want to stick to a good CPU encoder.

Dell UK is currently offering 7300HQ, 7820HQ and Xeon E3-1505M v6 all with NVIDIA Quadro M1200 w/4GB GDDR5 (no IGP-only option) and says will be despatched in 5 - 12 working days.

Still no M1200 option, maybe Dell is adding Pascal chip or they've run out of stock, thats happened before where they run out of inventory and don't allow certain configs

They will not be adding a Pascal chip, NVIDIA has released the details of the Pascal mobile Quadros and they have decided only to release high-end ones this time around. (Meaning, you will only see them in 17" systems.)

just got this from dell, it's out of stock which sucks:
Jason, right now, we have it with Intel HD Graphics. The Nvidia Quadro M1200 w/4GB is not avaialble in stock. That's the reason it's not showing up online.
