Depends on what you are after or what you plan to do with the machine.

Do you really want a Pascal GPU? If so, you will want to wait. Its the only real practical reason to get the new version for me. The KabyLake processor is nice but it only offers a incremental increase in performance.

The older 7510/7710 are still not bad, I would still get them if my planned use did not need a fast GPU.

I want to know how I can get a 97whr battery for either a 56whr/fhd model or 97whr/uhd model (I have both). :)

Specs are in the very first post in this thread (I believe they are reliable). 7520 is the same as 7720 except it has the lower-end GPUs, Quadro M1200 and M2200 as choices, and only one M.2 SSD slot.
(Dell-Mano_G may feel free to correct me if I have misspoken...)

Is graphics switching is enabled for these models, regardless of GPU and screen choice? Are there any ports that are driven directly by the discrete GPU if graphics switching is enabled?

How many external displays are supported? Is it possible to run 2x 4K monitors and 1x 1080p monitor, externally, without using the ePort dock? (Thunderbolt dock + one additional port on the system maybe.) I couldn't get this to work on the 7510.

Can we have someone investigate the NVIDIA auto-contrast on battery issue? Pretty please? Drives me crazy running a dark-themed code editor while on battery power. It is reproducible if you follow the steps that I have outlined (I even got a Dell engineering lab to confirm it) and I don't know how it is not considered a problem.

Can we have HiDPI display and a built-in mobile modem in 7520? If not, why?

@Dell-Mano_G does the 7720 have the same keyboard layout as the 7710?

Also, did you guys fix the 'battery wear level' problem that some 7510/7710 owners reported here?

FWIW, the photo that we have of the 7720 from CES (here) shows a keyboard layout identical to the 7710's.

Yes switchable graphics is enabled regardless of GPU and screen choice. You can disable switchable graphics in BIOS and route all video signal via discrete graphics.
All all depends on no dock, e dock, cable dock. All are different.
You can daisy chain 2 x 4K's from mDP port and 1 x 1080p monitor from HDMI port.
Not sure what the auto-contrast thing you are asking about. Have you contacted tech support for this?
