I purchased it last month as the "Generic" card and use a Verizon sim and get LTE speeds without any issues. I had to manually enter the APN information. I'm surprised that they don't have the generic version available when configuring. I'm almost positive that the AT&T version is the same but with a SIM card for AT&T as mr_handy mentioned. This is what Dell has done in the past with their mobile broadband options.

I'm thinking of buying the 7710 and I'm interested in the keyboard feel. I like keyboards with good travel depth and moderate resistance. My 2010 Toshiba Tecra A10 has a great, great keyboard. More recently, I tried a Lenovo Thinkpad and it was pretty good too, although a little less travel depth than the Toshiba. The consumer Lenovos are not as good. The HP Envy was terrible (light force leading to accidental key presses, shallow travel leading to poor feedback). I have found many reviews saying the 7710 keyboard is "good" but they don't give any comparisons so I'm not sure what their idea of "good" is. Can someone comment?

    Hello

I received exchange system from M6600 to 7710 ( i7-6820HQ, 8GBx1 @2133mhz ,2xM2 512GB OEM drives, UHD display) ... (Dell were really nice in accommodating my requests for this system, many thanks to them for that)

I use the machine for photograph editing (using Lightroom) and stock charting software (such as ThinkorSwim etc) which seems to like to use as much memory as I can throw at it.

In regard to memory, what would be the most cost/performance memory to buy? I saw on Kingston memory finder they spec 2133mhz memory but I see on these forums people using also 2666mhz and various memory timings.. what brand/spec memory would be suitable?
I have 8GB installed but would like to add 32GB initially and possibly max the system out at some point (I will remove the 8GB module at that time obviously :) )

    Thanks so much!

    Bruce

I got two 16GB sticks from dell. Using this 32GB with the 8GB that came with the machine.

    Item #:
    A8650534
    Dell 16GB Certified Memory Module - DDR4 SODIMM 2133MHz

Price for the two sticks was $179 + tax

that's not bad.. and being Dell I get full support :) I presume the 2133mhz is just fine then.. no complaints? :)

[/edit to add this] Unfortunately Dell site now shows $149.99 for each 16GB module.. hmmm something amiss here

Give small business a call. I always received better pricing by calling. When I ordered mine on 3/8, they did not have them listed online yet.

Anyone with the TB15 dock? I cannot make it work. I'm running BIOS 1.4.8, installed the 6 driver packages that are listed on support.dell.com, but still no dice. Power goes from the dock to the computer, lights turn on, but no monitor, nor network nor USB access...

    Any ideas?

I assume you have the power going into 7710 and not just using the USB-c cable? I have been using my dock and it works fine (although I will have to admit I am in the minority)

I have two of them at different locations (home and work). I have the 240w adapted to both the dock and the 7710. I am running 3 screens. Make sure the Thunderbolt software is running and you authorized the dock. I have noticed that if I go into the bios, on the next reboot it does not see the dock (although light on cable is lit) and once in windows 10 I have to manually run the TB software and restart.

One of my two TB15, the Displayport cut out on me (the other day). Display comes on at boot and then turns off. Other two displays are fine. Dell is sending me a new TB15. This happened after around a month and it is only one of the two TB15 I have.

In the dell forums there are a lot of issues noted. More on the XPS machines though.

Looks like they pulled the 1.4.8 bios. 1.3.12 is listed as the current one now.
