The m3000m on my precision 7710 also did not show up initially. Long story: i bought the precision via a reseller. I used TeamViewer to remotely login before the reseller shipped. At that time, the m3000m wasn't showing up in the Device Manager. The reseller managed to correct the problem (probably via Dell Prosupport) before shipping. The m3000m seems to work fine now, for example it's recognized by the Unigine benchmarks.

Would you be kind enough to contact that reseller and see what their solution was to fixing the issue? Pro support wants to replace the mobo and graphics card on my machine.

Wow, it sounds like Dell is shipping these machines in a broken state. Where is the quality control?

I'm thinking it might be something software related. BIOS or driver, who knows.

*edit: seems that it is when I enabled fastboot in the BIOS that the dGPU was fixed. After hearing results from another 7710 who was having same problem and doing the same to get his working... enabling fast boot in the BIOS might may be the solution to the dGPU not being found, for some reason.

Hi Bokeh, How is your experience with Oculus Rift on M5000M, I want to use 7710 with M5000M for Oculus Rift development work, but based on my investigation, M5000M has only 90% of performance of GTX 970, have you run all the VR demo with M5000M successfully?

+1 for asking you to please contact your reseller to see what the solution was. My 7510 is also missing the M1000M in device manager. I tried enabling fast boot as others has suggested but it didn't work for me. Thank you for any input!

since 2 weeks ago, when I use the laptop display I notice weird flickering:

I never get these when using external display (lid closed), so I suspect the display or display cable has some issue on my unit.

Are you sure you set it the fastboot to MINIMAL? Try restoring BIOS settings back to default and then setting it. Also make sure you updated to the latest BISO version released two weeks ago, v1.3.12

What if you go to the BIOS and disable switchable graphics does it still do it?

Does anyone know if you can install a Samsung 850 evo M.2 into the m7710? Or will they only take the PCIe versions (i.e. 951 or 950 pro). Thanks in advance.
