I have the 2.5" hard drive and the 91Whr battery, no problems. There's still a significant gap between the battery and the hard drive...

    Thank you.

So it's the same as the Alienware 17 4k.

    It's a very nice panel.

Can you share your opinion about fan noise?
Is it completely silent in text editing/reading?
What about noise in average and full CPU usage?

Can anyone with the firepro w7170m share the Dell Part Number for it? I'm looking for one to try with a Precision M6800...

I'm in the process of buying a new computer since my 4 years old friend M6600 is almost due to retirement. For me Thunderbolt is not a dealbreaker, but I would like to have the USB-C port to use with my (in future) usb peripherals. I know Thunderbolt is delayed, but is this true for usb-c port as well? I have to admit that I'm a littlebit confused.

In the 7710, USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 come together, you can't get one without the other. They are physically the same port, and although it is possible to have a USB-C port without Thunderbolt in some machines, this is not the case for the 7710.

I can't think of a good reason. Specs in the Intel Ark website are exactly the same except for the 100MHz difference.

The Dell online configuration/website for US 7710 orders is a bit strange today when selecting the CPU. I was getting an error saying the CPU selected (1505m) is incompatible for the "1535m with Non USB Type C". So if I were to order I'd probably want to talk direct with a Dell Business Sale rep and ask for an email detailing exactly my order configuration prior to making payment. Their online configuration is a bit unpredictable.

Can anyone run prime95 and see if the videocard throttles when all 8 cpus are full load?

I would be more interested in the nvidia version.
