    Hallo.
Could you post the VBIOS needed to flash the P4000m?
Is it possible to install it with an LVDS screen.?
    Thanks

Pascal cards do not support LVDS. You can use it, but only with Optimus / graphics switching enabled.

With a Precision M6700, you will need to flash it with an external programmer or a different model laptop.
On a Precision M6800, you should be able to boot Linux and flash it from there.

Hey all, been keeping an eye on this.Im still stuck with my K3100m
On my m6800 and i think it has regular screen i dont think LVDS.
My question is about these P3000 cards ive only recently started seeing.
They actually advertise this as supporting the m6800 on amazon and a bunch of other places.

Would i need that certain monitor still or could i buy and install this P3000 on my regular M6800 without any craziness?
Or is this ad just incorrect?
BTW I do not game, i need this for encoding/rendering video

    1. You need to confirm whether or not you have M6800 with an LVDS display. LVDS is "regular". Earlier M6800s had LVDS and later ones had eDP. Use MonInfo or hwinfo64 to get your panel model and then look it up. If you have LVDS then you can use this card with Optimus / graphics switching enabled only.
    2. You should plan on having to boot up Linux and flash the vBIOS before this card will work. The appropriate vBIOS version can be found earlier in the thread. The stock vBIOS will cause a BSOD if you try to boot Windows or Windows Setup. @DynamiteZerg has a good post somewhere in here about the flashing procedure for the P5000. It will be the same for the P3000, just a different vBIOS file.

If you guys are planning on modding the VBIOS, test it in a kvm virtual machine before you hard flash it to the card. It's an easy way to know if it works or not, I'm still trying to find a good TDP for my P5000 before I hard flash it with my GQ-4x4.

This will work for telling if the vBIOS will work with the card at all but it is not a good "bootability" test with the Precision M6800. The Quadro P5000 will boot Windows without hassle with the stock vBIOS in KVM, but it will still BSOD if you try to boot it native on the actual hardware.

I have a 980m in my m6800, but it refuses to show under any circumstances in device manager. It only shows the intel graphics 4600, does anyone have any idea why it is refusing to show up in device manager?

is the bios recognize the card ? if not the cause could be a dead card.
