If this class of systems can work with other Pascal cards (i.e. GeForce 1060, 1070) then chances are good that it will work with the Quadro P series. Maybe you can look for user stories about that, or post in the MSI forum here. The issues discussed in this thread are very specific to the Dell Precision series, and I doubt that anyone who frequents this thread has much experience with MSI systems.

    Thanks for the feedback...
Yes, I already wrote in several MSI related threads and in MSI forum, but still no feedback...
Here in this forum there is also a thread about MSI Bios Unlock and I already wrote there to, but I'm still waiting on some answers...
I just wanted to be a bit more confident, because these cards are not cheap and I didn't want to buy it, and have it stuck because if it didn't work... (in the past I purchased a K5100M for other laptop, and had no luck, and I still have that GPU sitting down at home)

But my feeling is also that it should work because other users were able to do it... I just don't know what changes do we really need to do in Laptop BIOS so that it can work properly...

    Cheers

Well that list alone tends to make think it will work. If you do a little digging over at the MSI forums there's a guy from Eastern europe somewhere that does MSI bios mods .....I know he's legit because once I had an MSI he modded the bios for me.
name is Svet and this link should help you contact him. I suspect this will make what you're trying to accomplish possible if it isn't already

Yes, I "know" him.... He already did some vBios mod to me on the past for other MSI laptop I had...
And I already spoke with him about this before writing in this forum / thread, but he also didn't confirmed me...
    Anyway, thanks for the comment...
I will try to se if I can get a good deal on a P5000 Mobile, and probably risk on buying it...
If anyone here has a P5000 for sale, let me know so that I can see if it will be under my budget...

I'll say it again. Use the "Make an offer" feature. No matter which GPU you choose to buy. You can get it for well below asking price. My P5000 just cost a bit over half of the regular going rate. It might take a few tries but you should be able to find someone who will give a decent discount. The cards don't sell that quickly and they'll want to be moving them.

    Yeah..
for anything above $1000, I would still recommend getting a used or open box Asus GX501.
Asus GX501 will give you much better CPU and 1080 max-Q... and it's super portable.

M5000M is selling for $460 so that makes more sense to me...

I didn't pay anywhere near 999 for my P 5000......patience is the big thing needed when acquiring one.....
