    Hello, do any of you know if a Radeon Pro WX 7100 would work on the precision m6800? I read through these posts and couldn't find a definitive answer.

    All I found was that a similar card has fan issues

    Well if you search this thread there's a lot you can do about fan problems.....there's a better heatsink (For Nvidia cards at least) and software solutions to make a fan run better. I would ask why you want that particular card? There are fairly well established road maps to getting a gtx 980m working and a method that seems to get 50% of P5000 Quadro's working and those are both capable cards ....

    Mainly because I found one that's the same price as the 980m I wanted to get

    and it is about the same performance as a tesla m6

    The ones with asterisks haven't been fully tested (I think) so they are guessing. I do know that's their best attempt at a ranking and I've generally found them to be pretty accurate .........

    The Radeon has a score about 3000 higher

    I'd get one with at least 30 day returns....you would have time to see if it can work for you...

    The issue with newer radeon cards is that there’s no auto fan control at all, so if you don’t set up software to manually control the fan, your gpu will overheat.
