    That is ridiculous..

I think as long as you reference the case number in the subject, you should be fine using another email. I've done it before switching between my Gmail and Uni addresses.

Just purchased an E6540 from the dell outlet (aus) with i7 4800MQ, 8GB 1600MHz DDR3L RAM, 256GB Encrypted SSD, 2GB GDDR5 Radeon HD 8790M, 1920x1080 LED, WiDi, 3G. Wish i knew about the msata slot, I am pretty sure the 256GB ssd will be in the normal sata bay. Is the mSATA slot also the WWAN slot (as in for 3G broadband?). Guessing if i put in an mSATA i'll lose the 3G capability (which i will probably never use though...)

Cant wait until it arrive, I use a dock and it will replace my faithful e6420.

I sent him what I thought would be an appropriate build after they opened up a fully configurable model for the M3800 on Friday. I didnt hear back today, so hopefully I'll hear back tomorrow.

My E6540 arrived and using ansys fluent, the cpu gets throttled... I bought it from the outlet, called them to complain, at first they said a full refund is no problem, and they will arrange pickup. Then the lady found an M6800 in the outlet, and asked if I would swap it for that? YES!! Arrives in a few days. I have had several Dell laptops, I have always been happy with their customer support. No crap - with me they have just always been straight to fixing the situation as fast as possible. That's why i stick with them.

Dell Australia seems much better. I just get "send it to the depot" over and over. I'd take a M6800 exchange in a heartbeat.

Still can't get in contact with my rep.. Again. This is ridiculous. Trying more phone calls after I get home..

It appears my case got reassigned. Again. Now I have a new person to bother when I get home.

I can't decide if this new guy is going to be helpful or create more of a problem. First of all, he said he was missing case notes. He didn't have a record of exchanging the system for a new one, he thought he was supposed to give me a refurb of the same model from the outlet. So I had to forward him all the emails I had from this other guy. One second he's telling me that I'll get what I was promised (which was an exchange for an M3800, a few upgrades, a few downgrades, a warranty extension, and toss in one a leather carrying case), but then later he's telling me that the last guy went way out of policy for a replacement so he's not sure he can do what I was promised and he has to look everything over before he can make a decision. He's going to look at the machines he can ship out "very quickly" for me. He's supposed to let me know yay or nay by email tomorrow. I reminded him that I've been dealing with this for almost a month now, I've been lied to, I've been ignored, and I've had my cased reassigned 5 times now. He says he'll be generous, so we'll see. I swear, if he tries to give me the same model from the outlet I'm going to drive the six hours to his office and clock him in the head with this POS Latitude*!

*disclaimer: dell, if you're reading this, I promise I'm not really going to do that!
