    Yes, SSD is Samsung PM830 (aka 830) but it will NOT be recognized by Samsung software! Therefore no additional support! Better option - buy SSD on your own! Definitely. I own this 128GB PM830 and Samsung tool will not recognize it and will not allow any opeartions to be made to it.

    Work sell off excess laptops. They have a new 6530 available that I quoted on the Dell site and it came to around $2,800.

    I can get this around 60% off but what's stopping me is the size/weight and the screen door effect I read about earlier. Is it present on the FHD screens? How are people finding the weight to lug around?

    I'm considering either the E5530 or the E6530. I'm not a fan of rubberized coatings on the E6530 and wondered from those of you who've had the E6530 for a bit, how well it holds up/attracts dirt? Also, for those of you who got the full HD screen, how do you like it (reading a few posts about "screen door affect")?

    @donkey33 and @ robs10

    I own it for two months now, it is solidly built, I'm really not sure what you mean by 'screen door effect' - I have FDH screen and I can't tell bad word about it! It really is good screen, I have LG, no pixels visible, screen is crisp and quite bright (I keep it on 3/7). I'm using it with 125% dpi (am shortsighted). Laptop weights (DVD + SSD +DCore) 2,6 kg's. It is not that heavy, but it is sturdy. Rubberized coating in very bright sunlight tend to show fingerprints, but it is very easily removed. Overall palmrest is cool to the touch but not cold. Keyboard is nice but off center and for me that required some getting use to it.

    Honestly, it isn't as bad as I was expecting. I too wasn't looking forward to the rubber coating and would have preferred a smooth plastic finish. I've found it very easy to keep it clean using a small 1" paint brush. It works great for keeping the keyboard and rubber areas clean. I would not try wiping it with a towel or cloth of any kind.

    Running Win8 64-bit, I now have my finger print reader and finger pointer-mouse device working. And a blu-ray player that I believe is working using VLC media player.

    Still trying to figure out my HDMI output and having duplicate displays (laptop and HDMI). It won't duplicate them! It displays different desktops on both screens and acts almost like and extension. Having just HDMI seems to work fine though (no duplicate or extending).

    If anyone has thoughts on this, I'd appreciate it!

    Wait until you get it. When I bought from Outlet there was nothing telling me I had webcam either, but it was on there. Not only is it a webcam, but there's cute software that goes with it. The webcam is not good, just your typical webcam. But the software is neat. Not only that, but in Win7 the built-in mic on the webcam is recognized by Win7's Speech Recognition, so just run that program when you've time. It's kinda nice to be mixing a salad and TELL the computer to go online, somewhere.
