    that sounds great...
So then I think I will get myself 2x8GB DDR3- sticks of 1600mhz and everything should work perfect right?
Or probably not DDR3 memory sticks right? cus they are for stationary computers I think..
Anyone know exactly what I need?

For anyone thats interested, I just picked up a media bay adapter to add a second hard drive for $10 USD. It fits and works although it doesnt line up exactly with the case. I did have to use my eject button off of the DVD writer but hey, it was only $10 LOL. Im now tripple booting Ubuntu, Windows 7, and Mac OSX for the fun of it. When I get to work, I just swap in my dvd burner when I need it. I will likely clean up the appearance a bit by painting the silver metal on the external drive and underside of the case a black / dark grey to match.

See below for the Intel block diagram. Anything above 8GB is overkill in my opinion, but memory is cheap. :D

2x8GB of 1333MHz OR 1600MHz<--(the max) will work in the E6520's two memory slots if you are using a compatible CPU.

Yes. It says that quad core can use two DIMMs per channel at 1333 and one DIMM per channel at 1600. This really doesn't matter to a Latitude, since it only has one DIMM socket per channel anyway (two channels). That note is more applicable for the Precisions with four DIMM sockets.

I like the G.Skill memory and have tested it to work 100% in the following Dell business systems:
    E6320 (QM67/i7-2720QM) - 1333/1600MHz
    E6410 (QM57/i7-720QM) - 1333Mhz max
    E6420 (QM67/i7-2720QM) - 1333/1600MHz
    E6520 (QM67/i7-2720QM) - 1333/1600MHz
    M6600 (QM67/i7-2720QM/i7-2820QM) - 1333/1600MHz

I also think it is one of the best values/bang for your buck.
