ark.intel isn't a reliable source for how much RAM a particular notebook can handle. Pretty much any Sandy Bridge notebook can handle 16GB.

I see they've actually changed the page for the 2410m at ark.intel, since it used to say 8GB max. Now it's 16GB.

The only platform I know of with actual RAM limitations that's still sold is Intel's Atom. It has a firmware limit, but the actual hardware itself can use more than 2GB.

Tweaks? AFAIK, Windows 7 natively supports SSD's and their various functions (e.g. TRIM, etc...) so I am not aware of any "tweaks" that are necessary.

My OCZ vertex 64GB has been working fine for years now with Windows 7 in my desktop system....

Windows 7 should do most of this itself, but here are a couple of things to check.

Disable: Superfetch, Prefetch, and ReadyBoot. Also disable scheduled defragmentation operations for the SSD.

One thing I like about my Intel ssd, is it includes it toolbox software that makes sure a lot of this is done and has a routine maintenance utility for optimal performance.
