Kuebk, I think the internal video will probably only do two screens. Try a usb video adapter.

Do you have one of those docking stations that has the two DVI ports?

You can also try connecting the VGA port if it is also available at any of your LCDs.
I also believe that DVI could work.
So, try to combine the HDMI, the DVI and the VGA and tell us the result.

    Hello,

I have a base E6410 that I have upgraded to recently with

    • Backlit KB
    • 9 Cell Battery
    • Webcam/Mic
    • Wlan with WiMax
    • WWan Card

Everything came from a donor E6510 which was damaged and out of warranty. I need to replace the processer from the 560m to Q740. What kind of heatsink paste or thermal pad would I need and where can I get it.

The E6410 does not have a Fingerprint reader. I want to port the one from E6510 to this one. I know I will need a new grill. Other than that, the one on 6510 seems to be wider but if I remove the mounting plate, is it possible to fit it on 6410

    Edit:

Installed the 740m and using core temp, am looking at temp of 59,59,60,61 across the four cores. If anyone else is running an i7 on a E6410, can you check and confirm if these temps are ok. My concern is that the integrated heat sink/fan on the E6510 (donor) is bigger so wondering if this setup would be stable in the long run. I have enabled all CPU settings (speedstep, virtualization etc) in the BIOS as well.

    Thanks
    SB

It doesn't get stuck that often but working on things spanning multiple days for sure it will screw up and I will lose something or have to get everything setup again. It also does this in linux so I am pretty sure it doesn't even get to software. It has been months since I disabled speedstep and not a single problem but as soon as I turn it back on I always encounter the same problem. Try on the i7 rig to put in a dock sleep it take it out and wake it up 10 or 15 or 20 times if you want to try to replicate the issue. It is not very high occurance so if you want to try replicating it may take more then a couple cycles.

Maybe it is just a bad board seems odd though I will contact dell again..

    Like this problem here:

Seems like video embedding is broken..

I've found that if you dock or undock the system while suspended, it probably won't wake up. This isn't with just the E6410 though, so I already have a habit of docking or undocking as needed before putting it to sleep.

Docking stations aren't used with the i7 system, and it's also not with me anymore, so I can't say. That being said, I wouldn't recommend using any system for multiple days without rebooting, especially with that many sleep/wake cycles...
