Try unplugging the i7 from power and then going to sleep and waking up while on battery. It doesn't always happen and is quite a bit rarer when staying plugged in but none the less I would get that sometimes.

It doesn't seem to have any issue...I got the system back for service and put it to sleep a couple times, both with the power plugged and unplugged, as I moved to different locations.

Even if it doesn't happen often, I surely would have heard back from users if it happened with any regularity throughout these two years. Are you using the stock Dell image? If not, which drivers are included in your standard image?

i got me some arctic silver 5 need some advice applying it.

I think the north bridge and the gpu are also connected to the heat sink via thermal pads.

Can i just remove the stock cpu thermal without damaging or replacing the pads on the gpu and north bridge?

You'll be fine, thermal pads don't need to be replaced when the heatsink is removed. Just avoid touching or otherwise contaminating them with dust or oil.

hey guys, A12 bios is out!

they dropped the turn-on fan threshold from 70C to 60C, so your fans will turn on quicker to protect HDD.

Also, make sure you grab a minimum of 4GB ram! the other day, when I was finishing a re-installation of E6410's OS, I forgot to turn off the virtual memory, and my HDD temp went up to 46C. but usually it says below 40C, a healthy threshold for HDDs, once I turn virtual memory off!

Is there a way to adjust the fan threshold?

Is there any possibility to use 3 screens at same time?
I have a docking station and 2 additional lcd screens but I can't make all of them working at same time.
Is there any way to do this?
