It's still there, just not listed directly. They only show P02, A09, and A10. You need to go to A09 and click related versions to find it. Not sure what's going on...

From reading around there were problems A09 and A10. It appears a year later they fixed/replaced A09 and some recommend installing A09 before A10.
A11 was released but then removed from the main page.
Its all a bit suspicious so have left the notebook with A06 since its worked fine the last year so no point rocking the boat.

I bought a Dell OEM HT514 backlit keyboard and it looked perfect when I received it and the keys felt really good. So, I felt like everything was good. When installed and turned it on and used it in a dark room light was seeping through about 60% of the keys at the corners on the actual individual keys themselves. Talking about a mess in the dark and I waited to install, so I could not return. I even tried a Sharpie, but it comes right through it.

Just a word of caution for anyone looking to replace theirs. It was a company out of Texas

Question - What is the difference between a HIT514 and a HT516 keyboard. They are listing them as fitting the same machines?

Hopefully newer Dell's will have backlit keyboard like HP where it has an individual LED right under the actual letter or symbol. There is no light seepage anywhere between the keys or at edges. They are realy nice!

It's normal for the backlit keyboard to have light leakage. Technically it's not light leakage, but rather viewing angle (it's especially apparent with the function keys, since there's some space between them and the number keys).

BTW, DP/N WX4JF is the right part for the E6410/E6510. HT514 is actually for the E6400/E6500, although these are interchangeable. There's a slight difference, which is the color of the function keys. It's purple on the WX4JF, which is much less confusing than the all-white keys of the HT514.

I have installed this backlit keyboard:
    http://tinyurl.com/E6400-backlit

which is supposed to be for E6400 and cost only $10!
It looks ok to my E6410 and quite good for its low price.
I do not feel annoyed from this white light leakage coming from the edges. However, I do not have experience from other backlit keyboards in order to compare.

I haven't had any issues on my E6410 or on the several machines that I manage...all have SpeedStep enabled and don't have problems waking from sleep.

It's not a problem with the system, but rather software, as these machines that don't have any problems were deployed with a custom image.

The issue is definitetly not software based and it happens with any operating system. It seems to be only affecting i7s (Possibly only 620Ms + NVS 3100). It happens mostly when resuming when on battery I suspect it is an issue with the bios if anything.

Here is just one of the threads I have contributed to about this issue: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19351240.aspx

What are the specs on the ones you are managing?

I've got my system with the i5-540M (specs in my signature), but the rest use the i5-560M except for one with the i7-640M. There might be one i5-560M system with integrated graphics, but the rest has discrete graphics. All of them except for mine have 4GB RAM and use HDDs, and most are running at least BIOS A08, if not A12.

None of the users have reported any issues with sleep, and just yesterday, I got the i7-640M system back while suspended and woke it without an issue...I also put my system to sleep at least twice a day. Hibernation is disabled on all systems.
