    OP can you please post the weight of the e6410 vs the e6400. If you can manage to put them on a weighing scale and take pictures that would be awesome but do not want to inconvenience you. Thanks for all the info!

    Awesome! I'm glad that silver is back, it's what made a Latitude stand out from the other business laptops out there! :D

    Nope, not that one... look at the 360 degree view... seems to appear on the unit with the fingerprint reader. Almost looks like a mic, or speaker???

    Ah, that's the symbol for the contact smart card reader, so one knows where to tap the card. :)

    I took the plunge today, and ordered the E6410 with i5-520m, 4GB RAM, wxga+, nvidia gfx and backlit keyboard. Can't wait, but it seems I'll have to with shipping date set to 10th May.:eek:

    Isn't the included power supply a bit underdimensioned? 90W seems a bit weak.

    Your system will use under 90W under heavy load, but over 65W.
    Yup, laptop's are much less power hungry than desktops, in exchange their hardware are much more expensive (require more engineering), andis much, much, slower in comparison to the desktop version.

    Example: the fastest GPU SLI for laptop's from either Nvidia or ATI, is not even close to the speed of a mid range Geforce GTX 260 which is now last generation GPU.

    The Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 that I have on my Latitude E6400, is slower or equal in performance (depends on what you do) than my CPU in my desktop computer which dates back since mid-2005.

    Do the sums:

    CPU: TDP = 35W
    GPU: TDP = 14W
    Allow for everything else 20W
    Total = 64W

    That still leaves 21W from a 90W PSU for battery recharging.

    If you want a bigger PSU then get one of the Precision workstations that needs a 130W PSU.

    The E6410 with integrated graphics should run off a 65W PSU (my E6400 does) although battery recharge will be limited if everything else is under full load.
