E6410 Owner's Thread

Does anybody know how the speakers compare to old D600? Jaja, I am outdated, but that machine still works fine... (a little shabby though) ;-)

mine just went into production

 

on the manual it is specified that 4.3lb is the minimum weight

 

4.78 on my scale.

 

Perfect thank you very much for the information thats pretty nice and light for a 9 cell battery configuration. According to those manuals the e6410 minimum weight is 4.3 compared to e6510 minimum weight 5.75. So that would put the e6510 around 6.2lb for the 9 cell version. Makes me lean further towards just getting the e6410 version. I just like the full hd resolution available on the 6510. Not sure if its worth the extra weight to haul around though.

 

Thanks, that answered my question. So it's definitely lighter than the Thinkpad T410 (almost 5 lb with a 6 cell battery).

 

Looks like it is Lighter then the Thinkpad T410 but if you wanted a lighter option for the Thinkpad's i believe they offer the T410s, which is slimmer and lighter.

 

This is a heads up for anyone building images for the E6410/M4500/E6510.
DO NOT include the free fall sensor software driver before running sysprep for system cloning.

In the middle of the restore as sysprep adds registry entries and drivers back the idiotic software pops in the middle prompting for a reboot because it found a new drive before sysprep finishes.

 

That's 2.17kg. Can you please remind us of your specs.eg battery, optical drive and GPU option?

I would need to leave out the optical drive on my E6400 to get down to that weight.

You're right, and it's definitely on my list... but the T410s has bad battery life, not to mention the fact that no one has been able to procure a version with discrete graphics.
