Just to prove you wrong here is a screenshot from the bios with my 1866 memory. It is also reported in hwinfo that it runs at full speed.

Amazing laptop and a proper upgrade from the E6220. The thermal compound used is a paste. Dell overapplies it, so removed mine and replaced it, got a proper amount off the stressed temp. Idle the laptop is quiet but it tends to get very hot under stress >88 degrees.

There are 3 mini-pci-e slots. I am using one for mobile broadband and one for the wireless card. Am wondering what I could use the other one for (1/2size). Love this machine :)

Well that really is interesting - both the intel specs for the CPU and the Dell specs for the machine say 1600MHz maximum. Can I ask what RAM you're using?

How much does the unit weigh with the 6-cell battery? And how much does the battery stick out the back?

Just ordered one off the outlet for wifey's birthday. Its replacing an Aspire One. I got it fully loaded so she'll be shocked at the performance. I think I'm going to throw the LG IPS screen in before I give it to her.
