Sorry to beat a dead horse but... Does the Outlet E4310 come with a webcam? I would say no but there is a option:

13.3 inch WXGA(1366x768) Anti-Glare LED w/ Microphone, WWAN Ready, Slate Silver

Does the w/ Microphone imply there is also a webcam? What is the point of a microphone without a cam these days?

If it doesn't say webcam, there's probably no webcam. Mine didn't come with one.

Some have a webcam and some don't. Mine does and specifically listed it in the system details.

If that option is grayed out on the Outlet, then currently none of the systems offered have it included.

So I did pull the trigger with a 4310. I have two small children so I opted for the extra $100 for the 3 years of complete care (just in case). I got the webcam (which is the Microphone ready option), BT (dont need but hey), Finger print reader (always wanted but never had one - probably wont use it). The 540 processor, 4gb of 1333mhz ram. All for under $800 shipped with taxes.

I had one question. It said it has: INTEL VPRO TECHNOLOGY ADV MGMT FEATURES. What is that? I did a search but I cant tell if that means it has some new sort of centrino package (intel wifi, processor, chipset) or if that means something real (in terms of a real feature).

    Any ideas what it is?

BTW, I figure if I dont like it with my OCZ SSD, I will give it to my wife & keep looking.

    Thanks guys!

It allows VMware and other virtualization apps to take advantage of advanced features in the processor.

Does anybody know which state the refurbished Dell laptops ship from?
And how long does it typically take them to process the order? I ordered mine almost 2 days ago and for some reason it still says "in production." If I'm not mistaken, "in production" should only apply to custom built orders. I paid with Paypal if that makes any difference.

Both my old refurbished Studio XPS 16 and my E4310 shipped from Nashville, Tennessee. I ordered the XPS on 4/19, it was shipped by 4/20 and arrived on 4/22. The E4310 was ordered on 9/5, shipped 9/7, and arrived on 9/9.

The "in production" status is little sketchy. Obviously it's not being produced, but it might be in the process of being "refurbished" and having all the necessary software/drivers installed and hardware tested. That's my guess.

I'm a bit disappointed... just got an email from Dell stating that the order has been delayed, but no explanation why. The original expected delivery date was 9-17, now pushed back to 9-22, but order still shows "in production" so I won't believe it until I get a tracking number. Was hoping to get the laptop before the weekend :( maybe I can call and get them to upgrade to 2 day shipping.
