Are you using an IPS panel? If not, Just run using the IGP for now to see if it's not something wrong with your LCD etc.

How exactly would I run the system using IGP?

Oh I also tried an external monitor through DP,VGA and HDMI. None of them worked although the monitor did say it received a signal (As in, If I disconnected the cable it would say searching for signal)

P.S. I want to really thank you already for helping me ;)

    -------------------------------EDIT-----------------------------

Okay I've took out the GPU and now it just simply boots up again....

Just for fun. Have you tried booting without a GPU installed? It's supposed to run using the integrated Intel GPU in that case.

    [Edit]
Nvm, missed the page break, I see that this has already been suggested. :p

Ok so I would personally back off from installing it again until you can obtain the proper backplate. If you get one and it still doesn't work then you might need to contact the seller. Feel free to PM me if you have any more concerns.

At least the laptop is up and running again.

Edit: let me go check my inventory, I might have a spare amd plate.

Hello all. I just got my m6700 and love it. I do have a question tho. It has a 256gb SSD for the primary drive and a 750 SATA HDD for the secondary. I just bought a crucial 256gb mSATA drive that will be here on monday. Should I install it and use it as just an overflow drive or should I clone the Boot drive and use the mSATA as the primary boot drive.?? Suggestions would be appretiated.

    Thanks.

The mSATA will be limited to SATA-2 speed while the two primary drive bays get SATA-3 speed. Unless you have another use for it, I'd say put the system drive on the regular SSD and use the mSATA for something else.

Nah, Install Windows 7 on a 256GB SSD, get another one, install windows 8 on it and use the mSATA for data common to the two. :p Ok, I'm just kidding, kinda. Use the 256GB as the primary drive, the mSATA for programs that you may want on a SSD if you're ever running out of space and the 750GB to hold data that doesn't need to be on a SSD.

My mSATA is mainly the drive for my steam games.

So I've flashed my bios from A03 to A08 hoping my 6700 would now boot with the 7970M in it. But again the screen stays black. If I take it out again and let it run on integrated graphics it boots just fine. According to the person I've bought the card from (Which is a person I trust for various reasons, The card is fully functional)

So now I'm officially running out of idea's.
