Not sure if anyone already post this info, that Mx700 does not support Corsair 1866Mhz RAM.

I bought 4pcs 4Gb ram CMSX8GX3M2A1866C10. No matter how i pair with 4 or only 2 pcs the system is very unstable, sometimes will not powerup (auto shutdown after 5sec, or no display), or bluescreen during windows startup. 0.00% chance of booting into windows. In the bios it shows 1867Mhz.

Switch back to the default 2x2Gb 1333Mhz ram and everything is fine.

I have 16GB (4x4GB) of Kingston 1866Mhz RAM laying around that I'll try in the M6700 once it is ordered and arrives (probably mid-October). (I just ordered 32GB (4x8GB) of 1600MHZ Crucial RAM for the M6700 which I'll also try.) The Kingston stuff worked well in my old Sandy Bridge-equipped Lenovo W520 even when it wasn't supposed to so I'm holding out hope. If you can pick up some Kingston sticks before I get my system then let the forum know.

Not the same. There are 2 types, single and double heatpipe. Double heatpipe is meant ONLY for Extreme CPU 3920XM. 3820QM and below will only get the single heatpipe heatsink.

Same thing to GPU heatsink, AMD and NVIDIA heatsink are different (screw type, nvidia use smaller screws. not sure about contact surface dimension), but with minor modification they are still interchangeable.

Bokeh, I would also like to know, I have the same problem. When I try to activate the 3rd monitor, Windows says "Unable to save display settings". I have the latest dock with 2x DVI + 1x VGA on M4700 with Firepro M4000.

Gentleman...or ladies? Aren't putting the horse before the cart? Has anyone contacted Corsair about this? What about Dell? Lets not resort to hope when we still have more rational approaches to a resolution.

Corsair can't do anything about this because the only solution is bios update from Dell to support it. Corsair's RAM has lower latency compared to other brands. I highly doubt if Dell is kind enough to do this, they might just tell you please refer to compatibility list.

I've dealt with Corsair's support to know that I won't be buying any of their stuff again. Dell's support is pretty good especially on their business machines. It might be better to call Dell and make them aware of the issue.

    Hi guys,

I've got a question for 3720/3820 users and unsure it has been answered already: do the M6700 have the unlocked core multi in XTU allowing +400mhz across all cores ?

Thanks! :) If it has, I might be sold ...

It doesn't look like it. I installed the Intel XTU and even though it allowed me to change the multiplier, I couldn't go more than 3.4Ghz under full load (M4700 with i7-3720QM). Here's a screenshot of the System information from Intel XTU:
