Awesome! This is exactly what I wanted to confirm.

BTW, is it stated somewhere? In the detailed order? In the detailed invoice?

Indeed. It's also strange that the battery size isn't listed on the spec comparison page since that's another important differentiation. Launch day issues, I guess. Hopefully they revise the landing page.

Apparently different countries get different options.

On the US business site all configurations state: "Windows 7 Professional, English, 64-bit (includes Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit License)"

Essentially they come with Windows 7 pre-installed and Windows 8.1 installation image on a USB dongle, so you could choose the one you prefer.

    Indeed.

If you place that configuration in the cart and look at the detail view of the order, you'll see two lines:

Hard Drive 256GB Solid State Drive Full Mini Card
Additional Hard Drive Additional 2.5 inch 500GB Solid State Hybrid Drive

    Very nice.

Yes, just click "Customize and buy" and you will see the detailed specs, showing both drives as included and the 61 Whr battery. It is also listed on the order details page, once you place the order.

If you are booting off the 256 ssd, and I assume installing your programs there, what does the ssd cache on the second drive do for you? Wouldn't you just be using this drive as bulk file storage?

As usual, the flash cache on the 2.5" hybrid drive help with faster access to frequently used data on that drive.

I'm basically happy with any "SSD boot + HDD data" combo, but some flash cache on the HDD is a welcome bonus.

Hopefully it is! When I asked for my m4700 to come with msata (bootable) + HDD, I ended up with a SSD in the optical bay, a bootable HDD and no mSata (nor DVD...).

When calling the rep I got the excuse I couldn't get a bootable mSATA, and the HDD had to be the bootable, and so on. At least they sent me the optical bay at no cost, but if I wasn't in such an urgency to replace my previous laptop I would've sent it back!

You can always verify and set the boot order in BIOS. (Any drive can serve as boot drive.)

Some reps can be confused beyond repair. :p

Apparently Europe is not "allowed" larger batteries and larger drives... There are no options for 512GB SSDs or 91WHr batteries.
