    So. It is ordered.
    (see my sig)

I will report back once I get confirmation on delivery date.

BTW: any of my scandinavian/european friends like to compare E-value codes on the machines on offer?

So what? Touch support in Windows 7 works just fine. In fact, I had played around with a Windows 7 tablet a few months ago, and it seemed perfectly fine to me.

Does anybody have experience with matte screen protector for laptops?
Would this be a problem with the QHD+ resolution?

Although it comes with Windows 7 installed you also get a Windows 8.1 Pro licence and Windows 8.1 Pro Recovery USB key so you can install Windows 8.1 Pro if you want.

So I'm not up on my mobile video cards. My main use for this machine will be mainly Adobe Photoshop\Lightroom and some video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro 5. It sounds like the NVidia K1100M can encode video whereas the 750m in the XPS 15 cannot. Is that correct? So for my use (ignoring the price difference) it sounds like the m3800 with the K1100M would be faster at doing those tasks than an XPS 15 with the 750m. Do people agree? Thoughts? Would the K1100m only help with Adobe Premiere Pro 5 or would Photoshop\Lightroom benefit in some way as well? (I'm looking at getting the 61Whr version so I can have 2 drives and replace both with larger SSD's)

So the m3800 just came available in Canada for the affordable price of $202,616.00! At that price, why not buy several? Ha!

Also, please note, here it comes with "Windows 7 Professional, English, 64-bit (includes Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit License) [Included in Price]" I know some were mentioning they only have W8.1 as an option. Then again, all the info on the dell.ca which is selling them at the above price. All info may need to be tweaked.

Just another note from the Norwegian site:

    - No option for WiGig dock
    - No Ethernet dongle included (about 15 USD extra)
    - No mDP to DVI or HDMI or DP included (10-25 UDS extra)
    - No external CD/DVD included (80 USD extra)

I was really hoping for WiGig for the dock.. well well. I guess I'll make do without.

I notice that delivery-time is not consistent over the board:
    Norway: 25.11.2013 for all configs
    Sweden: same
    Denmark: same
USA : 02.12.2013 for all but top-config (which is 04.12)
    Canada: same as USA.
UK : same as Norway (???)

    Edit:
Just noticed that UK, and Scandinavia (Nor, Swe, Den) have the same 2 options and the same E-value codes...

The UK store also leaves out the 512GB SSD option. This seems to be the case for all EU markets, as well as having Windows 8.1 pre-installed.

Although the website doesn't allow for any customization, your Dell rep might still be able to upgrade your specs.
I just ordered the dual-drive model, but upgraded the mSATA from 256 GB to 512 GB.
Such configuration is not listed on the US website, but my sales rep was able to order it.
