An order page is live: Dell Precision M3800

If you add the 256 GB mSata version to your cart, go to checkout, and review cart details, an additional 2.5 inch 500GB Solid State Hybrid Drive is listed. Not seeing this detail on any other pages for this model. This model also has the 61WH battery, which would allow room for the second hard drive in the list. I wonder which is the boot drive.

$50 off through 11/18 works on these precision models - 7BQK0QPKNGSJ3L

Estimated shipping date of 11/26 for FHD model, 12/4 for QHD+

Do you guys know why the list price on these machines is more expensive than the XPS 15 sibling.

Can anyone spot the difference between the top 2 levels? I can't figure it out.

Only difference is that the top tier comes with a "Service bundle: includes 1 year of Accidental Damage service and ProSupport to keep you covered anywhere you go."

Order codes are cam3800w7p003 and cam3800w7p003ps - ps for ProSupport.

I like the Second configuration (with two drives)! For me, it's better than the mid-spec XPS. I don't need the bigger battery, I'd rather have two drives. I just hope the SSD is bootable.

If in the system, the mSATA is always the boot drive.

    Damn...
    Minimal configuration options.

I hoped, that you will have more configuration options compared with the XPS15....

Is it possible, that Dell with add more options in the future? If so, in what timeframe does this normally take place?

Just ordered 3rd option (Single 512 + bigger battery). I think 2nd option says SSD drive in the bay but it might be a hybrid drive?

Yeah, second config is mSATA plus SSHD (not SSD)

Am I missing options for ordering thin? Was hoping to get the equilivent to the top end xps15 but I have no options for anything with the 512gb SSD or 91Whr battery!? Is it just the Irish store not getting the options?
