It's up to 8GB per DIM Slot. it sounds very right.

So, I been waiting till the release like everyone else, but now I'm unsure if the 3800 will even be available for me to order in Canada.

Support says they dont know.. (it's beyond me how they don't know..)

I am mainly interested in the resolution. My current xps 17 is 1920x1080 and I am looking for anything with higher resolution at equal or less weight or lower price than xps15 or m3800. Any suggestions?

The noise issue is quite annoying and is complained by some new XPS 15 owners. I wonder whether m3800 has the same problem as they have almost the same structure.

FYI, according to a Dell Rep I have been talking to, the M3800 doesn't have Optimus per se, but something similar:

Interesting. I thought I saw QM87 on the sample my rep brought by, but I clearly saw wrong. Really is just the XPS motherboard in there.

Doesn't make any mention of vPro, either; some IT departments are not going to like that, although I doubt there are many individual users who care (if any at all).

Does anyone know if RAID-0 configuration is supported in BIOS?

Funny then that the Dell Precision M3800 product page states "Stay unplugged longer: Optimize your battery life with NVIDIA Optimus™ technology designed to automatically boost system performance when you need it, and save battery power when you don't."
