Bet that one is not user changeable as easy as this dell though, so Samsung has to do that probably to keep it totally sealed.

Also the 300 cycles is a full cycle.. from 0-100%, which means if you charge it from 50% to 100% that is just .5 cycles. Even then, Apple and Samsung have much higher cycle counts, but then again, Apple actually invests a lot of R&D into battery technology.. so no surprise there.

From what I know only Apple has the battery glued to chassis, The difficulty to replace the battery on the Ativ Book 8 is the same of XPS15/Precision M3800.
Practically the 80% of Ativ 8 users has opened it to replace the HDD with SSD, with no difficulties, you can find some video of this operation on YouTube.

There are a few others getting into the soldered/gluing... especially in the ultrabook form factor, which this one is getting a bit close to. My bad on the Ativ though, just made an assumption there.

Does anyone have any theory as to how long you think it will take for one of these to ship once it becomes "available" on the Dell site? For example, the XPS 15 is available now, but the QHD resolution version has an estimated ship date of December 3rd! That's nearly a month!

HDMI on the U3014 ran at 2560x1600. The refresh rate was showing 59hz, which I did not expect. Most systems will only get 30hz via HDMI on the U3014. I was able to extend the desktop and also run the built-in panel at 3800x1600 at the same time.

Switching up, I ran DisplayPort to the U3014 at 2560x1600, and HDMI to a U2410 at 1920x1200. I was able to use the M3800 display, U3014, and U2410 all at their max resolutions at the same time.

In the pic below, the M3800 screen looks more washed out than the other two monitors. It was set to max brightness and was overexposed in the photo.
