Also nobody's asked this, how responsive and good is the touchscreen?

 

^In addition to that, I noticed a lot of laptops at best buy with touch screens, when touch, move a lot. The screen bounces if I'm explaining that correctly? The LCD cover basically...

Does the M3800 do that too or is the cover stiff and doesn't move when you tap the screen.

 

That is not physically possible. Personally, I wish it was possible to get the damn thing without that useless touch gimmickry. I don't want it since it is of no practical use for me. I'd much rather have a near-perfect, large touchpad, of the quality and responsiveness that the Mac touchpads are known for. As an aside, why do you think Apple does not include touchscreens with their laptops? Yep, that's right, because nobody wants them.

 

I prefer laptops to have a touchscreen with an active digitizer (N-trig , Wacom , or similar).

Some people like touchscreens that you can easily write on (see old tablets like the Fujitsu Lifebook T5010).

This one seems to lack an active digitizer so I don't think it would as good as some people expected.

 

Active digitizer with pen is a completely different game than just touch with fingers if you ask me.

 

So, just FYI, I asked Dell Support (actually asked about the XPS 15, but they're the same thing), and they said that dual external monitors along with the laptop screen works with configurations that have the Nvidia 750 graphics card. I would expect the upgraded graphics cards on the 3800 would be the same.

 

You can have the best of both worlds. An example would be the Samsung Galaxy Note series. Use fingers and a pen.

Or any penabled Windows tablet and tablet PC, but with all of these, the display is/can be the primary method of input (as in it's in tablet mode) whereas on a clamshell laptop, you have the keyboard and touchpad readily available. Heck, I have a tablet PC with touch and I used it maybe one or two times when it's in traditional laptop mode. Keyboard and mouse is just that much more efficient. Let's just say that a touch screen (finger touch) on a clamshell type laptop is the least of my priorities.
