Someone mentioned somewhere that the M3800 is an XPS 15 2014 with an nvidia quadro card: is this true or is there more to the M3800?

There haven't been any review models of the XPS yet, but it definitely looks like it.

    Bokeh,

Trying to compare the M3800 to the XPS15, can you please check if there is an NFC card? It should be Under the battery.

Another difference (to be confirmed by an XPS 15 owner) is that the M3800 includes Wave MaxxAudio Pro Suite. I couldn't find a reference to it in the XPS 15 litterature.

Finally the touch displays for both models supports 5 finger multi-touch and not 10, it probably won't matter for most users.

Dell Aus page for the 9530 Details says:

    "Stellar audio
Powered by the same award-winning technologies used by the world’s leading producers, engineers and musicians, MaxxAudio® Pro by Waves delivers studio-quality sound that makes music, movies and games come alive."

    Tech Specs:

    "Audio and Speakers
High Definition Audio with Waves MaxxAudio® Pro"

Either way it doesn't matter, it's just a brand name, they're just speakers.

No mention of NFC in the M3800 stuff tho.

As i've mentioned before, it's pretty conclusive that the M3800 and the XPS15 share the same core. Same dimensions, same specifications, same photos. Only differences are: Name, Graphics Card, Warranty/Support (???) and minor software/hardware configuration differences (ie that you can get W7 specified, or that you can get it with the 61whr battery and msata SSD, on the M3800). That's it.

@Bokeh do you know which sleeves (such as those for the rMBP) will fit the M3800?

    @Bokeh, thank you very much!!
Will be waiting for some more photos when you have a chance. Apart from the "color test screen" page suggested previously, could you also do one shot of both screens with black background - I am trying to gauge which of the two would be less reflective/glossy (don't like seeing myself or the room lights reflected...).

Could you also share some subjective feedback on both touchpads, e.g. smoothness, clicking etc.

I should be able to borrow the rMBP15 next week for proper testing.

Also, I think Waves MaxxAudio Pro is in every Precision now.

What is the clock speed of the k1100m? How does that compare to the 750m in the xps?

    Thank you!
