Even if the CPUs are on back order. I wish they would offer up pre-sales so I decide whether the 3800 meets my needs or not.

Can we assume that the hard drive and ram will be user upgradable?

Good things are worth waiting for.
I expect Dell to allow us to upgrade our computers and not be locked down like a Mac.

It's nice to take out the HDD or SSD if necessary and recover data right away if the laptop stops working.

With a Mac (Air , Retina) , you aren't actually allowed to take out your SSD.

Just talked to a sales agent, this is the answer I got

Seems that the wait continues....I just hope that they did not hit any glitch in manufacturing like the XPS15 and the Wifi fiasco...

That just looks like the M3800 pic here. http://i1.wp.com/www.custompcreview...on-m3800-siggraph-2013-custom-pc-review-4.jpg

No XPS logo. Maybe it's just the M3800 without Quadro. So now, which is better for heat, GT 750M or K1100?

New XPS 13 is with the logo.

and I thought the new inspirons had some of the looks of the M3800, but this is clearly the same chassis. Maybe not the same materials though.
