Anyone have idea it will be fast user acces to memory and storage disck? And whats about the screen i definitely would use FHD matte than this crazy 3200 x 1800 on the 15,6 screen and Windows.

I pretty much sexy workstation, but im not sure we can call it a workstation in 100 percent...

Maybe, but materials seem to be the same:
This form NBR's hands on with the new XPS line: Hands on Dell's Awesome New XPS 11, XPS 13, XPS 15.

On the bright side, this might mean that the new XPS laptops will be quite sturdy if they're built up to Precision standards (let's seriously hope it's not the other way around). There could also be a lot more screws in the M3800 (quite likely actually) and maybe something like the Thinkpad's rollcage. This is pure speculation on my part, so don't take it as fact.

    i5-4200H... that's higher TDP than the i7-4702

which would run warmer at idle/near-idle states?

No details on the internals yet but the bottom cover looks easy to remove, I doubt they would do that and not let you access some of the more common components (memory, disk, battery).

High-DPI is starting to become more prevalent, DPI scaling in Windows works OK (varies from app to app), though you'd probably be best off using Windows 8.1 which is supposed to have a number of improvements for high-DPI displays. And app makers need to get their act together which hopefully will start happening now that high-DPI displays are actually entering the market.

afaik, it's an 8-bit panel and the Haswell IGPs are still not 10-bit compatible. Don't quote me on this though, been a while since I did check either of those info.

I would never call any notebook such as this a workstation. In fact, the mere idea of a thin and light being a workstation is laughable--its an oxymoron really.

Perhaps in 5 years or so when things have slimmed down for all notebooks and we've established a new paradigm for laptops. But even then, using that terminology would simply apply to any and all laptops.

For now, these are the most powerful thin and light laptops ever made. But to move to the next level, they will alsoneed to include maximum connectivity and without any compromises. I can't wait.

Maybe they count the dongle as a port:
"Gigabit Ethernet Dongle (USB to RJ45) - supporting PXE Boot (imaging & wake on LAN)"

I am sure that's want they mean. Otherwise, why even mention the dongle. No Ethernet port visible on any pictures.

Great news about the mSATA! Hopefully the m3800 has one too!
