Correct and now we have a 15.6 inch with that
resolution so looking forward to 17 inch notebooks with the same or at least higher then 1920x1080.

I would to have love to have had a Thunderbolt port on the precision (VGA not so much), but to tell you the truth there's precious few devices that could utilize it and none to its limit. So for all intents and purposes it would simply be a port awaiting a device.

As a matter of fact, not even USB 3.0 is near being maxed out at the moment; and only a handful of vendors have even adapted it to their new hardware. I did manage to find a couple RAID HDD with it, but the newest cameras are still coming out USB. 2.0 even now. And USB 3.0 is a thousand times more prevalent than Thunderbolt.

As an encouragement, I was presently surprised to discover that Autodesk now sends out their software on a USB 3.0 drive. Installing it was so fast, I repeated the process not realizing it was already installed. Thanks Autodesk!

I would have thought USB 3.0 ports would be or more widely used by now. I do see them obviously but I thought I would be seeing more of them by this point, and I believe they just finalized the specification to USB 3.1. Now I don't think we will be seeing those ports in pc's/notebooks anytime soon but I guess they we appear before USB 3.0 fully saturates the market. As far as Thunderbolt didn't they also finalize Thunderbolt 2 recently as well? They must have a lot invested and be confident that it will be a success.

    my thoughts:
in m3800 YouTube movie avid pro tools console was shown
pro tools can be connected to notebook by express card with dock or by thunderbolt (apple notebooks at this moment)
dont think that m 3800 has express card slot:/

fireware is for mbox pro interface with haven't connection to consoles.

    most of the consoles req:
"Avid-qualified Pro Tools|HD system running Pro Tools HD 7.3.2 or higher software"(c)

"That s the wireless dock? "
dont think so. there are not much imputs/autputs with can be used in audio production.

    i still hope on thunderbolt..
also it can explain delay of m 3800

The logo on the unit Dell showed at SIGGRAPH is for normal Displayport. This could change, but I wouldn't count on it.
