I think you meant to say 72% of NTSC (or 100% sRGB).

100% sRGB is what most of the users would really need. Wide gamut is not necessarily better. For many users it would only create problems.
Very few people would use or can even benefit from aRGB. And those professionals who do work with aRGB on a daily basis will probably need a bigger screen than 15 inches anyway! ;)

Dell D5000 WiGig dock (which most likely works with m3800) does support multiple monitors.

Agreed, this would be dumb. I still think the WiGig dock is a more likely option. A USB 3.0 dock would be not much more than a glorified USB hub with a few peripherals built in. Gigabit ethernet would work... But any additional displays wouldn't be able to be driven by your GPU, there would have to be some separate graphics hardware built into the dock, as the GPU doesn't output data via USB.

I just double-checked the pictures, and it seems this laptop has neither ANY buttons on the trackpad, nor dedicated HOME/END/PGUP/PGDOWN.

It's clearly an XPS15 made for consumers, with precision branding so they can slap on a larger price tag.

    Very sad.

The wigig dock is just a "wireless usb3.0 dock" if you look at its spec.

It is old tech with a wireless interface sort of thing.

The WiGig dock uses WiGig 1.1 and 802.11ad, which don't have any relationship to USB 3.0 as far as I can tell. (Other than that the available bandwidth is in the same ballpark.) WiGig includes provisions for sending DisplayPort streams (among other things).
    (Here's the spec sheet.)

And that's the reason I'm upset. I don't do any color-critical work but after using a HP DreamColor2 screen for a year, I really miss it. There's a huge difference between wide gamut and 100%sRGB, you don't need to be a pro to really appreciate and enjoy it! If HP is the only one to offer IPS RGBLED panels this year - I'll join their club again. But a 1800p sRGB panel on M4800 would make me think.... Wish there was a screen combining ultra high res and wide gamut.

Well, unmanged wide gamut desktop and software interface does "look better", but for certain task such as image or movie, one may get a lesser experience.

Will the m3800 have an actual workspace of 3200x1800, or will is simply be a pixel doubled, retina like 1600x900 workspace?

Windows will let you set it to full native res, factory setting might be different, but it will be easy to change the setting.
