    Hi
I hope this is the right forum to ask in.
    I have a 7740 with a rtx4000.
I use it fore autodesk revit, but the video driver seems to make revit crash quite often 2 3 times pr. Hour.
I have tryed a lot of different drivers with no success.
I run it with 2 x external screens.
I get no reply from autodesk nor nvidia.
So I am hoping to someone in here could point me in the right direction to solve this issue.

7740 owners with Quadro RTX 4000 or RTX 5000:
Would you mind uploading the vBIOS to TechPowerUp and then posting the link here?
(This can be done entirely within GPU-Z: Click the icon next to the vBIOS version and then select "Submit to online database" from the menu.)

I have a feeling that this may come in handy soon, if results are similar to the benefit gained by flashing the Quadro P3200 vBIOS from the 7730 onto the card in the 7530...

I think it will be so only if they're shipping 7540 with either rtx4000 or rtx5000 with 240W psu.
Lenovo has 230W psu for p53/p73 regardless of the gpu selected

You can always source your own 240W PSU.
Quadro P3200 in Precision 7530 got a speed boost just by applying the vBIOS from the 7730, and a slightly bigger boost if the vBIOS is applied and the PSU is swapped out for a 240W one.

And said boost was not insignificant either: 10-15% speedup on average, including in games.

Thanks for pointing this out; it's 5.45 am here and this is really quite exciting :)

Time to poke around for quotes on the RTX 4000. No point purchasing the 5000 whatsoever given such low power limits.

Is 240W '7740 version' psu also compatible for 7540 ?
I mean do they have same exact type of connector ?
If so, would a 7540 with 240W psu be able to draw more than 180W ?
Has anybody here tried such a thing ?

When you flashed P3200 7730vbios on your 7530, did you use stock 180W or tried the 240W from 7730 ?

Not only that, you can use the old-style PA-9E 240W adapter (M6400-7720) and that works fine as well. It is a little bit larger but it is cheaper, readily available on eBay. My 7530 is regularly connected to one of these, not because I need extra power for it, but just because we have so many of them hanging around at the office.

I'm not going to dig it up but I know I read a report from some user (other than @Ionising_Radiation) who tried the P3200 vBIOS "upgrade" with a 240W power adapter and reported slightly better performance with it over the 180W. So I doubt that it would be beneficial for "stock configuration" but with a high-power vBIOS flashed on, it might help out some.

I've managed to tease out the part numbers from Dell Singapore, which has pulled through once again:
    Code:
    Quadro RTX 4000 DGFF2 9RY45
    Quadro RTX 5000 DGFF2 8CMTP
I've requested for a quotation from them as well. I will likely be selling my Quadro RTX 3000 if the price I receive was as miraculously low as it was this past August. Anyone interested?
