If I want to install a SSD in the slot next to the battery it should be an M.2 2280, right?
Have not found any specification and measured with a ruler...

    Yes, M.2 2280. I haven't found any non-2280 SSDs, though...

    Thank you!
I have no experience when it comes to M2 and just saw there is a huge amount of different sizes and connectors on Amazon.

Can you guys with the unlocked CPUs (like the 9980HK) explain how you managed to achieve scores like 4.3 GHz and a power draw of 119 W out of the CPU? My notebook (7530) thermal-throttles at 3.3 GHz and power draw is stuck at 53 W. What are your ambient temperatures, for example @eprst and @Hopper82?

As I already told in previous posts for me the things was 2:
    -better thermal (repaste, new heatsink and screw mod);
-system tuned with trottlestop (undervolt/power limits).

Ambient temperatures 22 to 25°C normally.
The maximum freq. I can use is 5.1Ghz ST and 4.4Ghz MT.

Anyway now @JustAnApprentice make me think that there's something wrong with some drivers/settings since I can't bypass the dell threshold of 107W as maximum power draw (I'll check better:D:D),

@JustAnApprentice, can you give some more infos:
-what build of windows10 are you using?
-did you install all the stuff (driver&app) from dell suite?

    Thanks again.

@Hopper82: I use Windows 10 Education, build 18362, and updated everything through SupportAssist.

Does anyone know how can I disable the adaptive brightness 'feature'? Depending on the color of the displayed image the brightness changes and it is so annoying because I have a dark background image.
I've googled a bit, but any of the suggested locations has no options on my computer.

    Its a 7740 with 1080p screen and RTX 3000. Latest W10 pro.

If graphics switching is enabled, open the Intel graphics control panel thing. Go to the "Power" section and disable the "Display power saving technology" feature. (I think it only shows up in the "On battery" area.)
