Trying to update Thunderbolt(TM) 3 Firmware Update; Intel_TBT3_FW_UPDATE_NVM16_A03_02.12.07
Getting "Thunderbolt Controller Power Cycle error" at end, and the firmware stays unchanged.

Updated ASMedia USB 3.0 Extended Host Controller Driver for Dell Thunderbolt Dock 2.12.07, A03, but ASMedia USB 3.0 shows 1.6.33.1 (dated 04-02-2016)

So it turns out I'm getting one of these from work, with the Thundebolt dock, rather than the 7510+e-Dock that I requested. Does anyone know if the Thunderbolt dock is supported under Linux? (Preferably Fedora, but if the official Ubuntu supports it and Fedora doesn't, I can live with Ubuntu.)

Otherwise looks like a pretty sweet spec.

I have my 950 Pro Arrived today in the mail and I am trying to install Windows 7 Pro on it using the bootable USB drive that I made from the Win 7 Pro which came with the machine. I have added USB 3 and Samsung Drivers to the USB drive so the SSD is recognized and can even be partitioned, but windows installation keeps telling me that it can not install on that partition as it is not sure if it can be booted from.

Was wondering if anyone has managed to make a clean installation of the Windows 7 on an M.2 SSD so far? I feel like I am missing some setting in the BIOS.

P.S. I have tried with both legacy and the UEFI settings and still the same thing

Unplug the dock and plug in the power adapter and it should work.

Thanks, I hope this solves some of the issues with the dock.

Would someone with the m.2 oem drive please verify where it's showing under bios system info? Mine is showing under SATA-0, not M.2 PCIeSSD-0. Seems strange. Im running w7 and drive was added after factory build. Thanks.

What model drive do you have? Some M.2 drives use the SATA interface.

I have the Thunderbolt 3 dock, tb15, when connecting to it my mouse/keyboard is first erratic.
I connect with the lid closed, either in sleep(I push the dock-button to wake it) or in running mode.
Keyboard /mouse is a logitech wireless system, mini Unify receiver in dock.
With erratic I mean mouse is jumping around and keyboard miss some input and sometimes a lot of input from a single keystroke.
If I open and close the lid after I connect with the TB-cable everything works great.

Any one else seeing these symptoms? How to fix?

Thanks. This explains a lot. I wasn't aware of this was ignorant of the fact the m.2 was a size factor - not an interface.
