I'll give Dell credit. They escalated my HDMI in a coma problem and 2nd line got it on the first try: turn off "C States" in the BIOS. Apparently, these turn off power to more than just the CPU with sometimes unintended results. The fix is worth it, even if it lowers my battery life from 1:55 to 1:50.

Wanted to confirm for anyone planning for a memory upgrade that the 5510 supports two, 16 gig 2666 Mhz Ram modules for a total of 32 Gigabytes that runs at 2667 Mhz without a problem.

I ran the full set of diagnostic tests that come with the BIOS 4 times over and it could not detect any problems with it.

To be specific I bought these from Amazon.

Just setting up my 5510 w/ 4k touchscreen.

When moving windows, I get a little helper box that enables me to snap the window to one of several pre-defined zones of the screen. Problem is I keep accidentally dragging the window to it causing unwanted resizing and moving. I want to turn it off. What is it ? I can't find any documentation for it.

I had the same issue. I stopped "Dell PremierColor" from starting and it went away... It was either that or the "Dell Precision Optimizer" I don't remember.

ha, that drove me nuts too trying to figure out how to disable it. I actually like the Dell Premier Color tool, but I disabled that splitter pop up.

Would any owners mind checking if the Thunderbolt and HDMI are connected directly to the Intel GPU and function when the Nvidia GPU is shutoff? A quick search didn't show any definite answer. I think the easiest way to check would be to look in the Physx section of the Nvidia control panel while a display is connected to both ports.

Here were my results with the OEM M.2 SM951 512GB and a PM951 1TB. I tested using CrystalDiskMark 5.1.2 x64. What speeds are you getting and also what are your BIOS setting?

    BIOS was updated to 1.1.19
Crystal is reporting slow speeds of 520 read AHCI and RAID ON - doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
Intel RST driver download/installed from dell 5510 page

Strange thing is that BIOS is showing M.2 PCIe SSD - none.
