I had a lot of trouble with the dock to, but this driver http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=V2WY5 fixed all my issues so far.
    No more BSOD or disconnecting.

I did some more searching just this morning and found mention of that driver in an XPS thread here. Installed, and so far no disconnects (was happening immediately this morning). We'll see how it goes - thanks for the feedback

i have the double key problem all the time and have had my keyboard replaced and then the entire unit replaced. it's just a terrible keyboard design (at least for some fast touch-typists like me).

First time poster, have lurked this forum since my first Precision with the 4600, and have learned so much from you guys, so firstly a thank you to all of you.

Writing this here to warn about trying to install an m2 drive with the .19 bios and win7. Can no longer find the OS. I bought the system with the default disk sata, and cloned it to a Samsung 950 pro m2 with the .15 bios that came shipped with the machine and it worked perfect. Made the mistake of upgrading the bios to .19, and it no longer worked, and hugely unfortunately, Dell engineers decided to pull all the previous bios versions from the public site. So, I can't roll back (confirmed with an elevated pro support rep).

Which brings me to.... does anyone have a copy of the .15 bios they could upload somewhere? Would be HUGELY appreciated.

Also, for anyone looking to buy this system, I would wait AT LEAST a few months. We're all essentially participating in a large beta test buying this early and it's a huge waste of time. This is my second system. The first one the trackpad was dead out of the box. Support had me try a few bios changes and then it completely bricked (lol).

TLDR; there are a LOT of bugs with this one guys. My bulky 4800 sure seems like a gem at this point.

Sounds like a botched BIOS update. I'm running a samsung m.2 drive as my only drive, and am on .19 BIOS. Though I am on Windows 10. Had various BSOD issues with machine, but then Dell swapped main board. Been perfect since then.

Must be a matter of preference. I'm seeing people saying they don't like the keyboard, while it's one of the best laptop keyboards I've ever used. The fn key for home/end is a pain, but I'm used to it having used a 13" with a similar setup for years.

I had the same exact issue with the same 950pro and windows 7. Needed to make a bootable usb and roll back to .15. (http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN143196/EN)

If you google "Precision_5510_1.1.15" there are 2 results that appear to have .15. Not sure how to get it to you otherwise.

    Rallydog, thank you!

Rolled it back and it now works like a charm.

Still have the 2 minute boot times, but at least it boots. Pretty ridiculous Dell engineers thought it would be a good idea to break their versioning system, but there it is.

Oh, btw, for any unlucky users to find themselves in the same situ. You can bypass the bootable USB creation and just copy over to a USB as you would normally if you hit F12 during setup and select FLASH BIOS UPDATE. It will give you a file picker window to choose the .exe and flash it from there.

I'm not sure of the 5510 but in the 7710 BIOS there is a Maintenance option called "BIOS Downgrade" - "This field controls flashing of the system firmware to previous revisions." And below it there is also "BIOS Recovery" - "This enables the user to recover from certain corrupted BIOS conditions from a recovery file on the user primary hard drive."

I'm not sure if those options are available in the 5510. And I'm not sure how it works either, if it actually retains or holds two BIOS for recovery or what. Did you see or use anything like that on the 5510. @Ed Foda
