The options are available actually, but it's not clear how they're supposed to be used... ie, there's no documentation for them, and there isn't any kind of recovery dialog that you can go through that might utilize them. In general though, I think they're mostly options that 'ALLOW' these things to occur, vs actually having any functionality built around them, like from a more sysadmin perspective of an IT dept managing many of these for a company., etc. Eg., Having Bios Downgrade unchecked, I may not have been able to successfully reflash the BIOS back down to 1.1.15, ie, I may have gotten an error during the attempt. Untested though, so YMMV.

Four people on our team have these now and all are experiencing issues, many BSOD's and what not. Cannot get a dmp file, but we cant tell if its around the wireless card or the video drivers. Swapped out\uninstall version of the intel drivers and Nvidia drivers to no avail. I can make it crash about every time swapping out the Hyper V nic in the virtual switch. Ill post specs and driver versions if it will help.

I would call support. and if that took time, start with process of elimination.

My recent BSOD issues are fixed after updating the ASMedia drivers for the Thunderbolt dock. I'd noticed that the machine was rebooting several times overnight when in Sleep, but since that driver update it hasnt happened. I've got a Samsung 950 on order now, and once that gets in I'll be in good shape

Ubuntu Linux 14.04 has been option for nearly a month now, at least. I had checked the Dell US website on Feb. 9th and the option was there. I do see as well that the support site isn't showing downloads for Linux.

Hi all, thanks for your time! I tested my 950 pro and could you tell me if this result is normal?
Since I could not turn on the RAID ON option in bios which induced a no boot device found error, and also the intel rapid storage technology could not recognize my 950 pro, do you think that was normal?

2 questions about this laptop that I have.

    1. Would a maxed out 5510 be able to handle RED r3d 6k footage on the go in premiere pro or Davinci resolve with the thought that I would hook up to an external graphics solution via thunderbolt 3 when at home for exports?

    2. Would there be some way with only 1 thunderbolt 3 port to hook up a external graphics solution while also hooking into a 10gbe switch to connect to our video server when at the office? Or would it not have enough to output to both of those things?
