The E-Module is thicker than both of my external drives (I have a USB drive from Addonics and one from LG). The E-Module is E-SATA. I would say it is pretty thick.

Edit: On the power plan thing, if your intent is for the components to save power when the laptop is plugged in or not, you can create a custom power plan to do this. For example, my laptop is designed to go into standby only when it is not plugged in. You can modify many items in a custom power plan or even in one of the pre-defined Vista plans.

Dell have released updated versions of its ControlPoint Software 1.2 (Security Manager, System Manager and Connection Manager).

I am downloading as I write this.

Any noteworthy changes? I have disabled all of ControlPoint binaries and run the E4200 without them. I can do without the fancy OSD functions. I still have over 80 processes running. I am about to do a clean install. Still, the laptop is very zippy, despite the overhead.

Only reds and blacks in this camp, I am afraid. I asked the same question before I got my black, with no takers unfortunately...

The black lid is very classy. I like it quite a bit.

They are both very different hues. Admittedly, Dell effs up the pics to make the midnight blue color look more 'attractive', so I have no reason to believe this isn't the case with the regatta blue. I expect it to be a lesser shade of the pastel than it appears.

achen, yeah, I am gonna do a clean install and skip all of CP. However, if anyone has any input on the new version, please let us know.
