Hey monakh, congrats on the purchase. Now how's about some piccies of the E4200 compared with the NC10?

Preferably not shot with a pinhole camera :D

My NC10 is back in the Middle East unfortunately :( That's why the shots have taken a bit longer than I expected. I thought I would post them with a 1002HA but that didn't pan out. I will post 'em soon. Suffices to say that it feels lighter but is a bit bigger. The two are worlds apart though.

Hello, I am new here, wanting to become a member for quite some time, well now is the time, after purchasing the NEW Dell Studio XPS 13 & Mainly because of the NEW Dell Latitude E4200. I actually returned the NEW Dell Studio XPS 13 for the NEW Dell Latitude E4200. I am waiting to get it delivered next week :)

    OH MY GOD !!

The paint on the connectrion ports on the left hand side of my E4200 (eSATA/USB, mic, earphone) already came off after only 6 days of ownership !!

I have the Latitude E6400, and the paint job is well done...
You should contact Dell.. my guess is that during the paint mixture too much alcohol (or chemical product to keep the paint liquid until print) was in the ink.

That is most unusual as I have been using my E4200 heavily and have found no such quality issues. It's solidly built though I wish the fan noise wasn't as bad it is.

I would call Dell and ask for a refund or tell them to send you a new laptop.

thats quite odd. i would have thought its the same paint they use on the M4400 and the others in the latitude/precision series. dosent seem to be issues with the others.

    I don't have this problem.
    2 possibilities:
    - You sweat acid.
    - Just a manufacture error, contact dell for a replacement.

For those who are looking for info on the CPU and on-board cache. Here are some benchmarks on the SU9400.
