    ubuntu is FREE and can be loaded onto the system yourself

    Montenvina is having an official release in June. The E series will most likely start hitting dell online id say late june early july at the soonest and mid july early august at the latest.

    To revive this thread....the original leak said that the E series would be released June 08.

    Anyone have any more info? The D630 has been discounted more than usual to clear inventory.

    I read that the first Monevina chips are being shipped to manufacturers. Any update on the E series release dates?

    Intel won't release Montevina until mid-July for discrete chipsets and early August for integrated chipsets, so you won't see any new Montevina laptops until mid-August til early September at the earliest.

    Anyone know if the E-series will have a 17" model? I know the chances are pretty slim but hey.. you never know. dual hard drive maybe?
