    Sure go ahead and post it, along with what device ID is showing for your 1070 in Device Manager.

    Yeah, sorry, I can't make head or tails of this... It seems like your mod is different than mine. (I would expect to see "06DA" show up somewhere in there but I don't.)

    I'll suggest this one though and you can give it a try if you want. Grab the latest mobile Quadro driver from NVIDIA's site and make these changes to nvdmwi.inf. I'm using the Quadro P5000 as the base, which should be similar to the 1070.

    Six global find and replace operations:
    NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.07B1.1028 = "NVIDIA Quadro P5000" => NVIDIA_DEV.1BA1.06DA.1028 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070"
    NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.17B1.1028 = "NVIDIA Quadro P5000" => NVIDIA_DEV.1BA1.16DA.1028 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070"
    %NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.07B1.1028% => %NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.06DA.1028%
    %NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.17B1.1028% => %NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.16DA.1028%
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1BB6&SUBSYS_07B11028 => PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1BB6&SUBSYS_06DA1028
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1BB6&SUBSYS_17B11028 => PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1BB6&SUBSYS_16DA1028

    The first two should hit one line but the rest should each replace three occurrences.

    I was using the gtx series driver before. Do I need to use the quadro ones instead?

    It might also work with the GeForce drivers (normally I see GeForce cards in the Quadro INF's and vice versa... the drivers are really basically the same, but the GeForce has the extra experience stuff added). I'm just suggesting the Quadro because that's the only way I know how to make the mod...

    You can try the find/replace I suggested against nvdmi.inf. It should be generic enough to apply to any driver version as long as the source strings are present in the file.

    i am but i am confused about these lines:
    %NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.07B1.1028% => %NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.06DA.1028%
    %NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.17B1.1028% => %NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.16DA.1028%

    shouldnt these read:
    %NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.07B1.1028% => %NVIDIA_DEV.1BA1.06DA.1028%
    %NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.17B1.1028% => %NVIDIA_DEV.1BA1.16DA.1028%

    As well as:
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1BB6&SUBSYS_07B11028 => PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1BA1&SUBSYS_06DA1028&REV_A1
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1BB6&SUBSYS_17B11028 => PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1BA1&SUBSYS_16DA1028&REV_A1

    ?

    Ps. Thanks for the help!
