D630 Owners Thread

I am not sure why the ambient light sensor does not work when it is plugged in. I prefer to keep my screen dimmed even when it is plugged in. I do not like an extremely bright screen, except when I am outside and the screen has to compete with the sun.

 

I want to order a D 630 with Windows Premium and 256MB graphics card. But i am not able to choose these options while customising, as D630 comes with Vista Business and Max of 128MB graphics card. Will i be able to upgrade these two when i place the order over the phone?

Please help me.

does anyone have a recommendation for a laptop backpack and printer?

 

I got pretty much the same laptop sans some sofrware and extra warranty. The best part it that when I ordered it the estimated arrival was July 30th but it shipped on Friday!
