The screen is definitely on par with most Matte displays I have seen. Only with a 95% or IPS display would I be able to see the difference.

On the 3350 I removed some blue color, seems like it was over saturated with blue hues. I'm not a professional but my roommate agreed it looks better now.

Thanks for the file! This has definitely improve the screen in terms of colour.

Is the "screen door effect" quite noticeable on your screen?

What exactly is the "screen door effect" ? I am normally using it between 18" to 25" away.
The side viewing angles are good. The upper and lower angles are not the same story. It tends to black out and shadow quickly or brighten to much.

I am thinking of asking for a replacement to see if the heat in the palm rest area will go away. It warms up by just using word, I am afraid that it will get worse over time.

Does anyone have the Dell part number for either a 4-cell or 6-cell battery? I have a 3350 i5 with an 8-cell battery. Would like to get a second more compact battery.

I get this too, even when idling. This seems to be normal behaviour as the hard disk is immediately below the right side of the plastic palm rest.

This happens on most laptops that don't have a specifically designed palm rest.

    Greetings,

I want to upgrade the memory in my 3350, as it's in single channel, and a major performance loss. I have CL9 Samsung memory right now. What RAM do you suggest to upgrade for?

I am thinking of 2xKingston KTD-L3B/4G or 2xKingston KVR1333D3S9/4G. What do you think? The first one is designed for Dell machines, however the specification is totally the same, it's only a bit more expensive.

    Thank you in advance!
