The Flat cable fits in the connector of the webcam/mic combo same as in mic. See attached photo for bezel with hole. Only have cellphone camera.

Thanks. It looks like it's not perfectly centered, isn't it? Anyway, good job and thanks for the info about the cable. I hope I can find somewhere a cheap(er) PM027.

Yes, it is off center. I didn't follow the basics, that is, use a piece of masking tape over the area to be drilled. The drill bit 'walked'. With, everything being black, it isn't that obvious.

You can always replace the bezel with a webcam hole in it if you want. It's only 15-20$.

Thanks, am aware of that, but it doesn't bother me enough to invest $20. Actually, I can make a larger hole and apply a grommet, but I don't think that is worth the effort either.

Yeah, that's true. Well, if I find a PM027 at a resonable price I'll get it, otherwise... no webcam for me.

Curious, what do you consider reasonable? I thought my price was.

It is now available from Dell with Bezel, refurbished for $204.99. Who need a camera that bad?

Your price is good, but Cameron raised it on eBay with 10$ and the operation it's not an emergency for me if you know what I mean.

I saw Dell's site, they are absolutely crazy. :))

    Understand. $30.00 was my limit.

That's my limit too. I already have a webcam, so this modd would be just for fun. ;)
