    Hi all!

I'm thinking of upgrading my Vostro 1500 a little bit by installing an original webcam from Dell. I found the front bezel w/ webcam hole at a good price I'd say. Now I think I need the cable and the webcam. For the webcam I'm sure, but I need to ask you: do you think it's possible I wouldn't need another cable?!

For all of you out there that own a Vostro 1500 with a webcam, would you please post the part numbers for webcam, cable and bezel? They should appear on your parts list. Thanks.

    Lao,

Go to Dell.com and build a 1500. They are still for sale in the US, you should find the part No's you want at checkout

There is no way I can have the part numbers unless I have an invoice. ;)

Depending on the price I get the parts, sure. I mean, if I find the parts at a decent price, I will go through. If not, there will be no upgrading.

Right now I'm stuck to a point I never dreamed I'd get stuck: getting help with the part numbers I need. :(

Good luck Ive been searching aswell. I was close to just drilling a hole in the top of the bezel, then buying a qcam pro notebook edition and mod it on in :p but upgrading sounds safer :p

I tried finding a part number (the usual 5-digit kind) but the best I could do is this 320-5546. You might try contacting Dell Spare Parts, they can usually give you the number, and a quote. Although the price might be cheaper if you can find it at an independant dealer of course.
