    Hallo again.
    Due to time constraint I was not able to finish the upgrade on my 7730.
    Today I have some spare time to finish it,but my main problem is that I am not totally sure how to connect properly the Gpu power adapter cable.
    I need help with it.Do you know of any video?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi, I am not aware of the existence of any video showing the power cable installation for 7730. As previously mentioned, on the black insulator sheet, Dell has printed the steps to follow for the cable removal. For the cable installation, at each end, with connector slightly bent up, you'll need first to engage the clips at the end of the connector (wires side) and then press down on the connector to completely engage with the socket. It may be more difficult on the graphics card because of ferrite installed on the cable. Let me know how it goes. Good luck!

    Done,total pain in the neck!!!.
    I really do not get why Dell got so complicated with the 7730/7740 series and the DGFF graphic cards.
    Thanks for your coaching[IMG]

    Hello everyone,

    So I've just tried installing an RTX 5000 in my 7530 and found out the hard way about the misalignment issue :(.
    Do any of you know what to do in this situation? Will a 7540 heatsink fit and do the trick? Or should I try my best using a sheet of metal, glue, a drill, a Dremel and some screws?

    Thanks!

    I mean the fact that, on the heatsink, the screws are situated in a rectangular pattern. On the rtx 5000 the holes for the heatsink screws are in more of a parallelogram pattern.
    Should I attach a pic?

    This is a known issue. You have to install the proper heatsink. You can't use any heatsink from the 7540, you have to use the one specifically for RTX 4000 and RTX 5000 GPU.

    @marian170, see this post:
    Here's an eBay link to purchase the required heatsink (P/N M2F8R).

    Thanks for the link! Already tried to buy it from this seller, but the product didn't arrive and I've got a refund. I've bought one from a different seller and didn't fit. I'll probably buy it again.
