    If that is the case, Dell is charging a bit of a premium for the paint job. If you configure the M6400 with the same specs except for the two different RGBLED screens, the difference in Dell US is about $200.

    I ordered the Silver Edition. The first offer was with WXGA+ and then I asked for the E2E and they said 550€ (ridiculous compared to the 299$ for the RGB-LED).

    I think you're right. You need to play the Dell game before you order. The E2E display has just a little bit more glass, it's not worth more than 30$...

    E2E just means there's a glass panel that goes all the way across, far as I can tell on mine. The E2E screen is constructed exactly like every other laptop lid ever made and does not give you more viewing area.
