Well, it's written in the Device Manager details (hardware ID should be LGD018E). I can't find my service tag now to see what it's named like on the Dell System Configuration info.

Thank you hardware ID information, but the seller dosen't know the ID, because that notebook isn't installed any OS actually.

So I can ask the seller if the screen is Matte or Glossy, if the screen is glossy, it's sure that the screen is a LED RGB screen?

LCD options from Dell's product information page on the Precision M6400

    17" WXGA+ UltraSharp Display (1440x900) Resolution
17" WUXGA UltraSharp Display (1920x1200) Resolution
17" WUXGA RGB LED Back-Lit Display (1920x1200) Resolution
17" WUXGA RGB LED Edge To Edge Back-Lit Display (1920x1200) Resolution

Edge to Edge is glossy, means there is a glass panel up front, but it makes it more vibrant. My Alienware M17x R2's RGBLED WUXGA panel I believe is the same.

Hopefully, it will be the RGB LED. Another way to check it would have been to ask for the service tag and check the system configuration on the dell pages.. Mine says this:

    U771G

    1

MODULE..., LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY..., 17WUX, RED/GREEN/BLUE..., LGP, M6400

I've check it with the service tag, all the information I got is in the #1 poste, different from yours. I'll check the hardware ID when I receive the notebook, to verify if it has the same ID as your screen.

Depends on LCD options from Dell's product information page on the Precision M6400, it looks like no-RGB screen do not has Edge To Edge option. And the seller confirm me that the screen is glossy. Hope it will be the RGB LED.

If not, fortunately I can return the notebook if it doesn’t convince me.

    Thanks again for your help:)
